Scripture: Genesis 3:6-7 (NIV)
“When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye… she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked.”

Sin isn’t just about breaking rules—it’s about breaking relationships. When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, everything shattered. Their relationship with God, each other, and creation was broken. The same is true today. Sin drives us away from God, isolates us from others, and leaves us empty inside.

But the good news is that God didn’t abandon us. Even in the midst of rebellion, He promised a way back. The story wasn’t over. Jesus was coming to restore what was lost.

Memory Verse:
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NLT)
“Anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”

Reflection:

  • In what ways have you experienced the effects of sin in your life?
  • How does recognizing your need for a Savior help you grow closer to Jesus?

Prayer:
Jesus, I recognize my own sin and how it separates me from You. But I thank You for making a way for me to be restored. I surrender my heart to You today. Amen.
