Scripture: Job 1:6-7 (NIV)
“One day the angels came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came with them. The Lord said to Satan, ‘Where have you come from?’ Satan answered the Lord, ‘From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it.'”

Satan’s work didn’t stop in Eden. He continues to roam the earth, seeking to deceive, accuse, and destroy. He thrives in lies and confusion, leading humanity to build its own kingdom—one of selfishness, greed, and pride. But Jesus came to reclaim what was lost. His message wasn’t just about love—it was about a revolution. He came proclaiming, “The Kingdom of God is near” (Mark 1:15).

The battle between light and darkness is still happening today, and we must choose our allegiance. Will we live for the temporary kingdom of self, or will we submit to the eternal Kingdom of God?

Memory Verse:
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NLT)
“Anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”

Reflection:

  • In what areas of your life do you see a battle between light and darkness?
  • How can you actively choose to live under God’s rule and reign?

Prayer:
God, I don’t want to live in the kingdom of self. I choose to live in Your Kingdom. Help me to recognize the enemy’s lies and stand firm in Your truth. Amen.
