Day 4: A New Covenant Written on Our Hearts
Reading: Jeremiah 31:33–34
“I will put my instructions deep within them, and I will write them on their hearts… And I will forgive their wickedness, and I will never again remember their sins.”
God’s solution to the human heart’s corruption is transformation from the inside out. The Old Covenant, based on external obedience, could not change hearts. But through Jesus, God promised a new way—a covenant written on our hearts.
This is the promise of grace. We don’t earn God’s favor through rule-keeping; we receive His love through faith in Jesus. This new covenant means that forgiveness is final, and God’s presence is with us forever.
Reflection:
- How does knowing God has written His law on your heart impact your daily walk with Him?
- What does it mean to live in the freedom of grace instead of legalism?
Prayer Prompt:
Ask God to continue transforming your heart. Thank Him for writing His law within you and for His promise to never leave you.
Memory Verse: Romans 3:23—for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
