📖 Scripture: Luke 14:27-28 – “And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple. Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?”
💡 Devotional:
Jesus challenges us to consider the cost of discipleship. Just as Laura Dekker prepared for her journey, we must also prepare for the journey of faith. Many start strong, but few finish well. The Christian life is not about momentary enthusiasm—it’s about endurance.
Following Christ means carrying a cross. It’s not comfortable or easy, but it leads to life. When we surrender our own plans and trust in God’s path, we find true purpose and fulfillment.
🙏 Reflection: Have you counted the cost of following Jesus? What areas of your life require surrender?
📖 Memory Verse: 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NLT) – “This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”
