CROSS POINTS STAFF
David Jones is the Lead Pastor of Cross Points Church. He is a native of Shawnee and desires to impact this wonderful city with the good news of Jesus Christ.
Pastor David holds a Masters of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell, a theological Seminary co-founded by Billy Graham, located in South Hamilton, Massachusetts.
He is married to his high-school sweetheart, Heather, a nurse practitioner at Children’s Mercy Hospital. Together they parent very active twin boys, Ethan and Jack. David is a life-long distance runner and has logged thousands of running miles across the country, from New York to Hawaii.
From 1995-2012, he served as the Missions Pastor for Cross Points Church. During that time, he traveled extensively throughout the world visiting and ministering in over thirty countries.
David has been on staff with Cross Points for over twenty years. Throughout that time, he served as a youth assistant, interim youth pastor (twice!), missions assistant and missions pastor. David grew up in Cross Points and started attending with his family when he was four years old.

Nick Adams is the Youth Pastor of Cross Points Church. He and his wife, Desirae, came on staff in August 2008. They came from South Dakota State University, where they both served in leading Campus Crusade for Christ. Nick graduated with a degree in speech communications while playing four years of Division I baseball.
Nick and Desirae are passionate about seeing the transforming power of Jesus infiltrate the hearts and lives of the teenagers at ZOE (Rom 12:2). Their heart is to collide culture with Christ – #JesusWins.
Pastor Nick is a fanatic of the KC Chiefs, KC Royals, and the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association. He personally enjoys fishing with toothpaste lures, chopping up onions while watching SpongeBob, and hiding under piles of raked leaves.
Nick and the love of his life, Desirae, have a son named Colton, who is the newest joy in their life and a future Hall of Fame baseball player.

FAMILY MINISTRY PASTOR
Andy Bondurant began attending Cross Points Church when he was three years old. He graduated from Maranatha Academy and then Mid-America Nazarene University with a degree in Christian Education.
Upon graduation, Andy worked as the bus ministry pastor at Full Faith City Church before becoming the Family Ministry Pastor at Cross Points Church. In 2004 Andy took a break from full-time ministry to join his wife and her family in a new business endeavor. He helped build a portrait photography organization of over 400 studios with an annual event of over 600 people.
In the Fall of 2012, Andy returned to CPC to work with Pastor David and the pastoral team as Children’s Pastor (among other duties to be assigned).
Andy spends his free time coaching and watching soccer, reading, and checking his Instagram feed. Andy has been a fan of Sporting KC since they were known as The Wiz.
Andy met and married Kia at Cross Points Church, and together they have four children – Kessa, Sephine, Chilton and Beale.

WOMEN’S MINISTRY LEADER
Jan Brooks co-leads the Women’s Ministry and encourages and supports the leaders. Jan’s heart is to unite women of all ages around the truth of the Word of God and let that word dramatically transform them. Our women’s bible studies and gatherings dig deep and are intended to foster good conversations and lasting friendships.
Jan and her husband Keith began attending Cross Points Church before they were married and have been involved ever since. They’ve served in the nursery, children’s church, Sunday School, and currently as marriage mentors. They have two adult daughters and two grandchildren and they’re passionate about family dinners!
By day, Jan is the Interlibrary Loan librarian at Johnson County Community College and enjoys serving the students and faculty by helping them access the information they need for their research.

Dru aspires to live out Psalm 33:3,“Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy!”
Before joining Cross Points, Dru served as Worship Director at Church of the Cross, in his hometown of Salina, for eight years. He also taught guitar for twelve years at Midwest Music Inc.
Dru met his wife, Morgan, at their church’s youth group. They’ve been married six years and love their rescued greyhound-lab, Annie.
They are both proud graduates of Kansas State University (Go Cats!). Currently, Morgan is studying occupational therapy at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
Dru spends most of his free time writing music, running, playing disc golf and eating sandwiches.

WOMEN’S MINISTRY LEADER
Jenn Green co-leads the women’s ministry. Jenn’s heart is that every woman would be seen and known within the church by creating opportunities to meet each woman’s need. Our women’s ministry seeks to see women become and create disciples through their unique talents and realm of influence.
Jenn and her husband Matthew have both grown up in Cross Points Church and both graduated from Maranatha Academy. They have served in the college ministry, nursery, worship team, visitor reception, small groups and many other projects along the way. They have two young children – Mae and Ike – who give a lot of love and laughter to anyone they meet.
Jenn is a stay-at-home mom who in her spare time plans new events for the women’s ministry. On the weekend, Jenn works at Mid-America Rehab Hospital doing physical therapy and specializes in brain and spinal cord injuries. Jenn’s hobbies include cooking, cleaning, and worship.

Pastor Don served as senior pastor of Cross Points Church for eleven years and now serves as an associate pastor with an emphasis on fatherhood to the urban communities in the Kansas City metropolitan area.
Pastor Don formerly served the Washington Dulles International Airport as its senior chaplain. He orchestrated ministry in one of the busiest and most multicultural intersections in the world. Besides his chaplaincy, Pastor Lewis also served as the program director of Youth for Tomorrow, a residential facility for at-risk adolescent males.
His work has been featured in the Washington Times, People Magazine, the Family Research Council magazine and other articles and books.
Pastor Don testified before Congress on behalf of pro-family organizations in Washington D. C., and he also served as regional director for Prison Fellowship’s Mid-Atlantic Neighbors Who Care, a crime victims assistance ministry.
Pastor Don formerly served as a pastor in Oakland, CA., Little Rock, AR., the Washington D.C. metropolitan area.
He and his wife, Hildred, have four adult children and now reside in Lenexa, Kansas.

MEN’S MINISTRY LEADER
Mark Martinez heads up the Cross Points Men’s Ministry. He has a heart for the men of the church and believes God wants all men to do the spiritual work necessary to be the intentional husband, intentional father, and intentional leader He has called them to be.
Mark is the co-founder of The Locker Room Ministry, wherein men frankly work through the barriers that keep them from God’s best in their marriages, careers, and ministries. He has a Masters degree in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma. He manages people, projects, and budgets in his general manager role at Johnson Controls, Inc., for which he has worked since 1998.
Mark has been married to Tracy for 23 years, and they have three kids that bring much satisfaction and joy to his life. He enjoys cycling, coaching baseball, and working in the yard. They have attended Cross Points for 20 years.

CREATIVE ARTS DIRECTOR
Erin is our Creative Arts Director. A video extraordinaire, she has been a fun addition to our team. She’s been a member, volunteer, and even an intern here, making her a native Cross Pointer.
Her passion lies in visual storytelling and helping others share their testimonies. She loves exploring new creative solutions and dreaming big with the rest of our team.
A self-taught videographer, she is always up for learning new things and walking with us into the unknown. Don’t be alarmed if you see her running through the halls on a Sunday morning (she hasn’t hit anyone yet).
She is always up for a good hike, loves writing songs, reading a good book, and learning new languages.

ADMINISTRATIVE / MISSIONS PASTOR
Mark Traver is the Administrative/Missions Pastor for Cross Points Church. After graduating from Southwest Baptist University with a degree in Mathematics, Mark served 16 years in missions overseas and in the US. In 2012, God called Mark back to his roots here at Cross Points. He began serving as a pastor in January 2013.
Pastor Mark’s desire is to serve Cross Points missionaries, and see them set up for success in their field. He also has a great desire to see others trained, equipped, and sent to the field for short-term and long-term opportunities.
“This gospel of kingdom shall be preached in all the world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.” -Matthew 24:14
Mark likes watching the NFL and criminal investigation tv shows. He loves playing racquetball and video games with his son. His favorite place to visit is Cancun, Mexico.
Mark married his beautiful wife, Lorinda, in 1995. They have two amazing children, Caleb and Makinzie.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY DIRECTOR
Audra Shuey is our Children’s Ministry Director. She is married to the love of her life, Adam and together they have 6 children ( feel free to gasp audibly, she’s used to that reaction)
She knows that God has called her into ministering to children and families.
She believes that it is never too early to begin teaching children the word of God and letting them see and experience and come to know the overwhelming and overflowing love of Jesus Christ. She is dedicated to building a team of passionate leaders who are willing show up in the lives of children and teach them God’s Truth. She is passionate about creating meaningful experiences for kids on Sunday that will speak to them and help transform their Monday-Saturday.
She loves to cook, visiting farmers markets, making soap, and once upon a time was an avid Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air watcher- If asked she will gladly rap the theme song.
**Side note** Do not get in the way of her and her coconut milk latte and things will be just fine!

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE LEAD PASTOR
Jennifer is Pastor David’s Personal Assistant and sister. Prior to joining the staff in 2015, she had a 16-year career as a Stay-At-Home Mom. Jennifer has been married to Kevin for 21 years. They have two daughters, Sydney 19, Addisyn 17, and one son, Braxton 8. Jennifer enjoys all aspects of ministry. She has a heart for new believers and discipleship.
Jennifer is a dreamer always hungry for more Jesus. She loves to connect and collaborate with other churches in the Kansas City area.
She desires to see people, communities, and dreams come alive as we ask Jesus for more of Him by linking arms and expecting big things for His Kingdom!
She is an avid gum chewer and dreams of places that are summer all year long. Dark chocolate, coffee, and Fixer Upper are a few of her guilty pleasures.
