We all dream of doing big things. We desire to make a big difference in our family, our job or our world. Too often, we make huge plans and major resolutions, but we get burned out, and we can’t keep them. However, if we consistently do the little (but important) things we’ll discover we can make a big impact. This month, we focus on the little things of life, so the big things will fall into place.

The Sunflower House is a non-profit organization which addresses abuse and neglect through a comprehensive approach, engaging children, parents, child-serving professionals and the community.
Pumpkin Palooza is one of the Sunflower House’s largest fundraisers, and it is one of the few times the Sunflower House is open to the public throughout the year. Pumpkin Palooza features games, music, trunk-or-treating, face painting and more!
Two years ago we began a relationship with the Sunflower House, and we are excited to continue it again in 2017. Working with Hy-Vee, the church is donating nearly 500 pumpkins to be decorated and sold during this event. We would also like your personal involvement. You can participate in one of two ways:
- Attend Pumpkin Palooza: The event is free and family friendly. More details HERE.
- Paint a pumpkin: Pumpkins are sold and all proceeds benefit the Sunflower House. To paint a pumpkin, click HERE.
“It’s one of society’s most iconic venues: the silver screen. Every day millions of people flock to the movies for entertainment. Others go for education. But how often do we look to Hollywood for real life lessons?”
“In this series, Pastor David will show us how the movies can actually reveal some of the most powerful truths that can change our lives — both now and forever. Don’t miss this opportunity to discover the passion, purpose, and plan that God has in store for your life through some of today’s greatest blockbusters!”
