This Christmas, take some time out of your busy schedule to remember the reason for all the hustle and bustle.  At Cross Points Church, we are celebrating Christmas with three candlelight services focusing on what makes this season so special.

The Christmas Eve services will include fun for everyone – special music and performances, a message of hope, and a candlelight moment.  Come enjoy hot chocolate, and even a Photo Booth to make memories with your friends and family! We would love to meet you and celebrate Christmas with you.

This Christmas our goal for Cross Points is to be lights where God has placed us, and to do this we are going to serve the children and families in our communities.

So, here are the two ways we are asking you to get involved this season.

First, adopt a child for Christmas.  Schools in our communities have given us names of children and families who just need a little help this Christmas.  You can be a light to these families by providing parents gifts to give their children.

In the lobby, you will find a table with different names and ages of children you can choose from.

Maybe you can not shop or purchase gifts, that’s okay, we would appreciate any donations for these families.

The second way we are going to serve the children and families in our community is by locking arms with Shawnee Community Services.

On Saturday, December 16, Cross Points will help put on a Christmas Carnival for the families in the Kansas City area.   You and your family can serve families in need for just a little over an hour at The Shawnee Civic Center.

In addition to serving, Shawnee Services is asking us to bring a wrapped board game and a bag of candy to give as a family gift.  We need a lot of volunteers, so please sign up at the same table in the lobby.

We want to challenge each of you to be a light this Christmas!

Little Things Final

We all dream of doing big things. We desire to make a big difference in our family, our job or our world. Too often, we make huge plans and major resolutions, but we get burned out, and we can’t keep them. However, if we consistently do the little (but important) things we’ll discover we can make a big impact. This month, we focus on the little things of life, so the big things will fall into place.

Website“It’s one of society’s most iconic venues: the silver screen. Every day millions of people flock to the movies for entertainment. Others go for education. But how often do we look to Hollywood for real life lessons?”

“In this series, Pastor David will show us how the movies can actually reveal some of the most powerful truths that can change our lives — both now and forever. Don’t miss this opportunity to discover the passion, purpose, and plan that God has in store for your life through some of today’s greatest blockbusters!”

Why on Earth Sermon Series

Why on Earth is an expression that is used when one is extremely surprised or confused about something.  There are certain spiritual principles that govern our earthly lives that simply make no sense.

Why on Earth would you take the lowly place when you could sit at the head of the table? Why on Earth would you give something away when it cost you dearly?
Why on Earth would you break something in half when you can have the whole?

Join us this month as we learn to apply Spiritual principles that answer our
“Why on Earth” questions.

Legacy 1God loves you. He showers you with grace, promises, and blessings.

You give as an expression of your love for Him and your gift opens the way to feed the hungry, heal the hurt, find the lost, and leave a legacy.

Freely have you have received, freely you give, not reluctantly, or under pressure for God loves a cheerful giver.

Join us this month as we explore the real meaning of generosity!

The Armor of God. All day, every day, an invisible war rages around you — unseen, unheard, yet felt throughout every aspect of your life. A devoted, devilish enemy seeks to wreak havoc on everything that matters to you: your heart, your mind, your marriage, your children, your relationships, your resilience, your dreams, your destiny. But his battle plan depends on catching you unaware and unarmed.

Women come join us as we gather together to do this 7-week study. If you’re tired of being pushed around and caught with your guard down, The Armor of God study is for you!

Choice of two-time slots!

Wednesday evenings (starting May 31)  6:30-8:30 pm • In the Fireside Room at Cross Points Church
Sunday mornings (starting June 4).  9-11:00 am • In Classroom 242 at Cross Points Church
