The Birth of Jesus
Here’s the craziest part of Jesus’ birth…God moved into our world. Yeah, the Creator of all we see took our form (a human) and lived like us. But it goes further than that. God became a baby! Poopie diapers, burps and spit up, late nights and early mornings of crying, learning to walk and talk, learning to read and write. This was God! When you think about it, it’s really unthinkable. Jesus submitted Himself to this for me, you, the world. Knowing all things, God realized this was THE way to save us. And He was willing to do it. Today, as you open presents, gathering around the tree or fireplace, spend time with family or even worship at church, reflect on this truth. God became man – beginning as a baby – for us. Merry Christmas! The King has come!

Questions: What is the worst part of being a baby? Do you think it was hard for Jesus to make the decision to come to earth as a baby? Why? What does that mean for you and me?
Parents: God realized the only solution to the world’s problem was sending His Son to earth. God’s love for humanity drove Him to make this difficult decision. Share about a difficult decision you have made because you knew it would be best for your family or child.
In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. -John 1:4
Have the family or invite a few friends to read the story of Jesus’ birth as recorded in Luke 2:1-20. Rejoice for He has come!
